Ida & Pocahontas.

Ida.

Then of course I found another one I loved too - and had to paint it also. Her name is Ida, and she is stunning. It was so nice to paint a Blonde and Brunette Rebecca Amber original.

Pocahontas.

The stunning photo was taken by Rebecca Amber for Misguided Goddess.Rebecca captures true beauty so simply and naturally. Her attention to detail is ridiculously good – so clear. She shot my friend Barbara, and I fell in love with soooo many pictures from the shoot – But, this one stood out to me the most so of course I had to paint it. The feather, the focus on the foreground, and the blurry background… there was so much to work with here visually, that I felt overjoyed with my paintbrush.

I named the painting Pocahontas because the little red feather and the overall essence of the composition stood out to me. Here is a gorgeous little Indian girl, with a feather and a headband, and beautiful dark silky hair somewhere in the middle of beautiful British Columbia – LOVE.

Thanks for sharing your talents, Rebecca and Barbara, and Ida. I swear I have more and more beautiful and talented friends everyday.
